Title: RE: [HPADM] Location of root's Home Directory

1), if you keep a lot of files, you don't clutter up the / directory
2), and probably most important, if you remove files, you are more likely to be in your home directory.  Nothing worse than removing all files.

Subject:        [HPADM] Location of root's Home Directory

    Hi

I was reading a presentation that Bill Hassel made at Interworks many years
back, and one of the things he suggested was not having root's home
    directory be /.

I have moved root's home directory to /home/root, but I am having problems
convincing a co-worker that this was a good idea.

Could anyone out there give me a list of some of the reasons why this is a
    good thing to do?

    Thanks.  I will summarize.
