What I need was to refresh or restart the named process.  The following steps
were taken.

1.  /usr/bin/mv all /usr/local/domain/*.rev files to /usr/local/domain/defunct
directory.
2. send kill no hup signal to named process id number ( kill -HUP pid)
     This restarts or refreshes the process to gather new information.
